Q – WHY IS MY STEREO NOT TURING ON

  • Check VOLTAGE VOLTAGE VOLTAGE! *Preferably 12.4v should be standard running voltage, minimum 11.2v*
  • Missing connection at battery example ground not connected (especially after having boat service work done)
  • Circuit breaker turned off
  • Head unit or amplifier is bad
  • Dead batteries

Q – WHY ARE MY SUBWOOFERS CUTTING OUT

  • VOLTAGE VOLTAGE VOLTAGE! If amplifier for the subs is not getting correct voltage, it will shut off.
  • HEAT. Thermal soaked amplifiers due to again low voltage and ambient environmental temperature (Havasu heat is not a joke!)
  • Disconnected subwoofer
  • Bad subwoofer

Q – WHY DO I ONLY HEAR BASS

  • VOLTAGE VOLTAGE VOLTAGE! If amplifier is not getting correct voltage, it will shut off or not turn on
  • HEAT. Thermal soaked amplifiers due to again low voltage and ambient environmental temperature (Havasu heat is not a joke!)
  • Disconnected speakers, bad RCA cables or disconnected cables
  • Bad amplifier

Q – WHY IS MY AMP GOING INTO PROTECT MODE

  • Thermal protection means LOW VOLTAGE
  • Bad speaker causing the amplifier to see a short in system
  • Internal short inside the amplifier

Q – WHY IS MY PHONE NOT CONNECTING TO BLUETOTH

  • Is your radio Bluetooth compatible? Is your phone BT?
  • Too many stored devices on your radio, clear all other non-used devices
  • Is the radio in pairing mode?
  • Is the phone in range?
  • Is the phone (androids) in visible mode?

Q – WHY ARE MY SPEAKERS TURNING OFF AND ON

  • VOLTAGE VOLTAGE VOLTAGE! If amplifier is not getting correct voltage, it will shut off or not turn on
  • HEAT. Thermal soaked amplifiers due to again low voltage and ambient environmental temperature (Havasu heat is not a joke!)
  • Disconnected speakers, bad RCA cables or disconnected cables
  • Bad amplifier

Q – WHY DOES MY SYSTEM SOUND DISTORTED OR QUIET

  • Poor quality music source (pandora, spotify)
  • Volume on the radio turned up too high causing distortion
  • Phone volume is turned down too low for poor sound
  • Poorly tuned system… gains on amplifier turned up too high, improper frequency set on amp
  • Amplifier in thermal limp mode (Voltage)
  • Bad speaker
  • Bad connection cables to the head unit

Q – I HAVE BUZZING THRU MY SPEAKERS

  • Engine noise, an electrical noise picked up by lower quality RCA cables
  • Some amps produce “dirty power” which produce a hum in system

Q – WHY IS MY BATTERY SWOLLEN

  • Battery has dropped below 10v and when plugged in it gets overcharged and boils and swells. To avoid this, you must CYCLE CHARGE… charge for a little bit (2 hours) and stop charging, then repeat again until fully charged.
